Deafblind Awareness Month
On June 18, 2025, Senator Busson joined other Senators and Members of Parliament at a lunch reception in celebration of June as Deafblind Awareness Month as unanimously adopted in a Senate Motion in May 2015. The Senator met some of the courageous Canadians living with deafblindness and those who advocate and care for them.

Canadian Olympic Committee
On June 18, 2025, Senator Busson joined Senator Marty Deacon at an informal meeting with the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC). Matthew Bongiorno and Andrew Baker offered important insights into the COC’s vision for strengthening communities through sport, while Erica Wiebe shared her inspiring journey from high school wrestling to the Olympic podium, and her commitment to giving back.

Flag Raising Ceremony in honour of Philippine Independence Day and Filipino Heritage Month
On June 12, 2025, Senator Busson joined Ms. Maria Andrelita S. Austria, Ambassador of the Philippines to Canada, and other Senators and Members of Parliament at the Flag Raising Ceremony in honour of Philippine Independence Day and Filipino Heritage Month on Parliament Hill.

National Police Federation Parliamentary Breakfast
On June 10, 2025, Senator Busson hosted with the National Police Federation a Parliamentary Breakfast in the Senate of Canada. This event brought together Parliamentarians and public safety leaders for a timely and important discussion on the future of the RCMP and its evolving role in keeping Canadians safe.

Richard Thomas Coleman
On June 6, 2025, Senator Busson presented the King Charles III Coronation Medal to an outstanding recipient, Richard Thomas Coleman. Canadian politician and former police officer who served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in British Columbia. Rich Coleman received the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal in 2003 and was awarded the Canada 125 Medal for community service. He was the 1988 Langley, British Columbia Volunteer of the Year, and was awarded Rotary's top honour, the Paul Harris Fellowship. Coleman is an inspiration as a community leader, a lifelong member Police Force and commitment to the community and Canada. The ceremony was attended by friends and family.

BCLEAP
On June 2-3, 2025, Senator Busson participated at a welcome reception at the British Columbia Law Enforcement Administrative Professions Society (BLEAP). On June 3, she gave a speech on “Trailblazing”.

Official Opening of the RCMP Veterans Pathway
On May 23, 2025, Senator Busson attended the Official Opening of the Veterans Pathway at the RCMP National Memorial Cemetery at Beechwood. She was honoured to cut the ribbon to officially open the Pathway.

King Charles III Coronation Medal for Alan Nicholson
On May 21, 2025, Senator Busson presented the King Charles III Coronation Medal to an outstanding recipient, Alan Nicholson. Retired Corporal Nicholson is an inspiration as a community leader, a lifelong member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Veterans’ Association, Regina Division and for his philanthropic and commitment to the community and Canada. The ceremony was attended by friends and family.

Lakewood Elementary School
On May 9, 2025, Senator Busson gave a speech to Grades 3-4 students of the Lakewood Elementary School in Victoria, British Columbia.
